Saliency Extraction Test dataset
The dataset was classified into four classes based on the difficulty of extracting the saliency as follows:
The
first class (C1) contains images with single large uniform objects placed in the
centre.
The second class (C2) contains images with single isolated objects but
not uniform nor in the centre.
The third class (C3) contains images with
multiple salient objects which are isolated and with fewer details in the
background.
Finally, the fourth class (C4) contains images with multiple objects with overlapping and with coarse background and with variation.
