"The second keynote on day 2 was addressed by Dr. Mohammad Al-Azawi, PhD from De Montfort University, Leicester, UK (United Kingdom), Assistant Dean, Computer Science and Management Information Systems, Oman Colleges of Management &Technology (OCMT). In his fruitful presentation he discussed about Human Visual Attention and Machine Vision Computational Saliency. His presentation focused on the use of human visual attention (HVA) principles to improve machine vision processing by understanding these principles and simulating them in salient regions extraction. It also includes a brief explanation for HVA and salient point extraction and comparison between them. It, also, reviewed some state-of-the-art approaches and researches to represent HVA computationally"
